Allison “Alli” L. Mehringer, a devoted mother, former educator, and beloved member of the Noblesville, Indiana, community, passed away on March 31, 2016, at the age of 34. Her death left family, friends, former students, and community members mourning the loss of a woman remembered for her kindness, generosity, and dedication to her family.
Born on October 9, 1981, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Alli was the daughter of Dennis L. and Brenda M. Cropper. She graduated from Hamilton Southeastern High School in 2000 before earning a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Purdue University in 2004. During her college years, she was an active member of Kappa Kappa Gamma and later continued her involvement as an advisor at Butler University.
Following graduation, Alli taught fourth grade at Harry S. Truman Elementary School in Webb City, Missouri. She later devoted herself to raising her children and became a highly valued volunteer in their Montessori preschool and local Noblesville schools. Friends and family recall her unwavering commitment to helping children learn and thrive.
According to her obituary, Alli embraced many important roles throughout her life, including wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. However, those closest to her said the role she treasured most was being a mother. Her love for her family was evident in everything she did, and her influence continues to be felt by those who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Dustin Mehringer, their three children, Mallory, Spencer, and Elliott, along with her parents, sister, extended family members, and many lifelong friends.
Though years have passed since her death, Allison Mehringer’s legacy endures through the family she loved, the students she taught, and the countless lives she touched through her compassion and service. She is remembered with love, gratitude, and admiration by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
