The memory of Allison “Alli” L. Mehringer continues to be cherished by family, friends, former students, and community members who remember her as a devoted mother, loving wife, dedicated educator, and compassionate friend. Alli passed away on March 31, 2016, at the age of 34, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, service, and unwavering love for her family.
Born on October 9, 1981, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Allison Mehringer was the daughter of Dennis L. and Brenda M. Cropper. She graduated from Hamilton Southeastern High School in 2000 before earning a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Purdue University in 2004. During her college years, she was actively involved with Kappa Kappa Gamma and later served as an advisor for the organization at Butler University.
Following graduation, Alli taught fourth grade at Harry S. Truman Elementary School in Webb City, Missouri. She later dedicated herself to raising her children and became deeply involved in volunteering at their Montessori preschool and local schools in the Noblesville community. Those who knew her often described her as selfless, caring, and passionate about supporting children and families.
According to her obituary, Alli embraced many roles throughout her life, including daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. However, those closest to her said the role she treasured most was being a mother. Her devotion to her family and her commitment to helping others left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She is survived by her husband, Dustin Mehringer, their three children, her parents, sister, extended family members, and countless friends whose lives were enriched by her warmth and generosity.
Though years have passed since her death, Allison Mehringer’s legacy continues through the family she loved, the students she taught, and the many people whose lives she touched. She is remembered with love, gratitude, and respect by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
